What Is The Fuss About Article Marketing?

What is all of this fuss about article marketing?  We hear about it all of the time when talking about affiliate marketing, but why is it so hammered for beginners?  Where is the first plus: It is free!  Article marketing requires you to sign up on an article directory, but it does not cost anything for the new affiliate marketer!  Counter that to those pay per click campaigns by Google, MSN, and other search engines, it seems like a pretty good deal for the person not ready for the price and complexity of pay per click.  Article marketing is a great equalizer: The more you know about article marketing, the better results you will gain without needing to open your pocket book.  Thus, knowledge is much, much more important than the size of your wallet.

If you sign up for a really good article directory, after you have your article accepted, you will gain ranking quickly on a Google for that article.  Once someone types in a search for your article and clicks on it, they will have an opportunity to read about what you have to say about a topic, and then can also click on your links to your own website.  In addition to people directly clicking on your website, those links to your websites are called backlinks: links which go to a website, but are not reciprocated.  This will help with search engine rankings because you website will seem more popular.  All this is for free.

One of the ways to turn on and off someone from reading what you have to say is how you say it.  Skip the ridiculous colloquialism and abbreviations you use while communicating with friends.  Use the best English as you know.  Plus, talk to sound natural.  We all talk differently, but if you sound natural and legitimate people will like to read what you have to say more.  It makes you sound like a real person.

Make sure to do your homework before writing an article.  This can be a difficult thing for beginners, but make a habit of researching your topic.  And try to think of a fairly unique article title.  It is not very original, it will not rank very well when people search it.  The more original, the less competition.  Less competition = good results.  Spending some time and brainstorming for ideas is paramount for the article marketer.  Learn to do both religiously.

This introductory post serves as a "Article Marketing 101 Guide" to all of the new article marketers and affiliate marketers.  If is an outstanding way to start an affiliate career.  It may take a little time to really get efficient with researching and writing articles, but practice makes perfect.  Remember, it is free!
