Articles directories are wildly used because they cost no money, but rather only time for the affiliate marketer. For this reason people wildly use article marketing to make money. By simply talking about a subject and giving a few backlinks, after a while, you can have a website which ranks well and garners traffic from top search engines.
It does take a little take for this method to really gain an edge. No one ever honestly said affiliate marketing is easy, but it is very doable for people who want to put the effort. For people who want to have a slow cooked, marketing, barbecue, article marketing is the absolute way to go. You can make a name for yourself after a while as your web presence picks up. People will see you more and more and believe you are a legitimate authority and know your stuff. Keep it and up you will start to see affiliate sales. Most people don't make it at affiliate marketing because they do put forth the required effort. Put that effort forward!
Article marketing is the free way to gain affiliate traffic. Any other way is a waste if you do not absolutely know what you are doing. Spend your money you gain from affiliate marketing before you want to purchase additional products. Write one or two articles per day. They will accumulate over time and you will see results.

Believe In Article Marketing
I was first skeptical about article marketing when I first started. Since I have found results through my efforts, I have become a believer and use that as my method of advertising.
When I first started as an affiliate marketer, I thought that I could get traffic to my site and achieve riches easily. I subscribed to a website that promised "fast growing traffic", but it didn't, and I don't think is very legit (it basically makes spam blogs). However, I thought that if I am going to do this, I am going to be this the correct way. I canceled that subscription, and started writing several articles per day.
Writing articles may be a tedious task for the beginner, but with effort it becomes easier. With practice, writing becomes easy and about what you write becomes the more difficult part. And even that isn't too difficult.
But anyhow, I started to submit my articles to article directories, mainly EzineArticles, and after I reached their top status, I can submit articles and get them published within a few days (before it could be a week). It becomes quite an accomplishment when you see work you produce get views and click on to your website!
With utilizing article marketing, I can get articles ranking in the first page of Google within a day of them being published. Wow! And then the whole world can see it! Also, some people will copy my article, along with my backlinks and name, or else that would be stealing, and you can gain in the rankings that way as well.

What Is The Fuss About Article Marketing?
What is all of this fuss about article marketing? We hear about it all of the time when talking about affiliate marketing, but why is it so hammered for beginners? Where is the first plus: It is free! Article marketing requires you to sign up on an article directory, but it does not cost anything for the new affiliate marketer! Counter that to those pay per click campaigns by Google, MSN, and other search engines, it seems like a pretty good deal for the person not ready for the price and complexity of pay per click. Article marketing is a great equalizer: The more you know about article marketing, the better results you will gain without needing to open your pocket book. Thus, knowledge is much, much more important than the size of your wallet.
If you sign up for a really good article directory, after you have your article accepted, you will gain ranking quickly on a Google for that article. Once someone types in a search for your article and clicks on it, they will have an opportunity to read about what you have to say about a topic, and then can also click on your links to your own website. In addition to people directly clicking on your website, those links to your websites are called backlinks: links which go to a website, but are not reciprocated. This will help with search engine rankings because you website will seem more popular. All this is for free.
